My Sims 4 Mod List
This might get confusing with the fact I stated to make my own mods and all...
These are in not specific order, though I might consider using alphabetical order someday.
I used to have a lot of CC and even more script mods, but they got overwhelming to update with each game update. I spent more time troubleshooting and updating than playing. So now I try to use the bare minimum!
You can click in the titles to go to the mod download page.
Another note, all the mods below are working on the current patch. (July 16th, 2025. Patch version 1.116.232.1030 / Mac: 1.116.232.1230)
This post was last updated on July 25th, 2025. And it doesn't include my own Mods since those are still a Work in Progress!
-
MC Command Center by Deaderpool This is a MUST have! It helps with sending sims home, see their hidden buffs, control Neighborhood stories, change Sims outfits on the fly, AND FREEZE UNIVERSITY PROGRESS, which is especially useful if you play rotationally and have Discover University installed.
-
Simulation Lag Fix by Simmythesims, Xerox and SrslySims
I tried opening the .package to see how it works and I didn't get it. Maybe something to do with how the clock in game works. It doesn't fix the innerent issues with the game, but it helps A LOT in the long run. -
Chin Preset F N1-3 by SiberiaWinds
I usually don't get presets, but two girls from my 100 baby challenge grew up to teens with no chins. Might as well give them some variety or unique looks.
-
Quick Shower Bath by LittleMsSam
My sims took too long to bathe their infants. And when you have a household of 8 sims and only 1 shower and 1 bath tub, the quicker they shower, the better. -
Lot51 Core Library
I don't know if I have any mods that require this library, but better safe than sorry! -
Pie Menu Load Helper by Lumpinou
It helps the Pie Menu load a bit faster. Might not do wonders if you have a lot of CC, mods and CC installed. -
Auto Pause on Pie Menu by ThePancake1
I like ThePancake1 A LOT! This one works wonders if you're crazy (like me) and pause whenever you need to look for something on the Pie Menu. It has the added benefit that it (I think) helps with the Simulation Lag. Pausing the game helps it to catch up. -
Fix Social Bunny Simulation Lag by TURBODRIVER
Turns out this is another major cause of Simulation Lag in this game. Everyone tries to post every hour, even if they're not registered in the Social Bunny. I want to know how an oversight like this even happens. Not needed if you don't have the High School Years DLC
-
Simulation Unclogger by TURBODRIVER
It helps sims to get unstuck. A great companion to the Simulation Lag fix above. -
Shower Tweaks by tyjokr
Makes sims change into a towel after showeing and tweaks what outfit they'll wear afterwards. Also fixes Shower WooHoo and adds the chance of a water puddle forming after a shower. -
XML Injector by Scumbumbo, and mantained by the community
This is also requires by many mods to work properly. You can delete the .package and only use the .script if you're not a modder. I haven't figured out how to use it for modding yet. -
Bathtime Fix for Toddlers and Infants by juniormints74
Removes diapers and slippers during bathtime. I can't believe this isn't default in-game behaviour. -
More Than Just a Lot by FDSims4Mods
Makes it so sims are more likely to use objects that are off-lot autonomously. Like the children parks that are around many lots in different worlds. Read the instructions on how to use it. -
Automatic Thermostat by LittleMsSam
Your Sims' thermostats are now automatic. One less thing to micromanage! -
Subject Homework by Scarlet, updated and mantained by LittleMsSam
Makes it so homework teaches children and teens skills. -
Small Ailments Overhaul by LittleMsSam
Ailments in Enchanted by Nature weren't tested or tuned properly before release, so sims get them ALL THE TIME no matter what you do. This mod makes it less likely to get them than in the vanilla game. I have all the files except "No Skin Overlay". -
Do Something by Lumpinou
Gives you more control over other NPCs. You don't control them directly, but it lets you make them do anything you want, like interact with others, other objects or themselves.
-
Keep Books After Publishing by Scumbumbo, updated by LittleMssSam
It lets your sims keep a copy of their book before publishing. -
Weather Realism Overhaul and Better Seasonal Changes by no12
I was getting tired of the way the vanilla game handles weather. no12 Saved the day. Thank you, no12 💖. -
More Traits in CAS by ThePancake1 and MizoreYukii
They let your Sims have more traits than normal. I missed how many traits we could have at once in The Sims 3. Thank you, ThePancake1 and MizoreYukii! -
HABIT by Triplis
Lets you set a routine for Sims that they will follow when possible. I use it on the Sims I don't care about much, so they don't starve themselves to death while I focus on my faves. -
Deeper social Autonomy by Tyjokr
Changes the way Social Autonomy works, not only taking in mind Sims traits and their moods, but it also takes in mind if Sims have drank any juice (also compatible with Basemental Drugs). -
Faster Flying Fairies by Waffle's Mix-Ins
I know it technically doesn't work, but faeries move really fast on short distances and it makes me laugh, so I still keep it in my mods folder! -
Wants Affect Balance (+ Fulfillment Overhaul) by Waffle's Mix-Ins
Pretty Self-Explanatory! I love it whenever mods make Wants and Whims more relevant. This mod also makes it way harder to manage big families and keep everyone happy, which is my exact way of playing. Waffle goes more in depth about how the mod works in his post.
